                   She plays the heartstrings so well.

Duvet

Into a ball of yarn,
My heart slowly unravels,
Dyed with blood and sweat,
From journeys traveled,

And I sew myself to you,
Heartstrings entwine within,
The measure of the moment,
I end where you begin.

A simple patchwork quilt,
Made up of sweet memories;
Dyes that became so faded;
Tales of how we came to be.

Laced with clutching threads,
Bound, I am to you,
Solace within satin,
A hospice within you.
