Where we lay.

Untitled free-write.

Ghastly apparition, hallowed hymns.
Evokes the heart it taunts.
Yet deep inside the fire dims,
Our love; the grounds in which you haunt.

Chilling whisper that beckons forth,
Calling out the flame to play,
Dancing amongst the hollowed earth,
Illuminates the ground where the buried lay.

Awaking the restless that lay underground,
Spirits summoned as the fire dies,
Murmurs from the soul-less bound,
Who walk the earth from which they rise.
